Message	The divorced pipes offer an exit off the turbo that matches up with the back of the turbine wheel, keeping the exhaust flowing straight down the pipe. The open pipe design has the exhaust go from the small turbine exit out into the wide pipe that is not shaped to the turbine exit, causing turbulence as it has to expand to the new pipe and then flow downwards.
